Stupienski Steps Downs as Head Baseball Coach

Russell Stupienski has stepped down as the Head Baseball Coach at 911±¬ÁÏ°ËØÔÍø (MCCC) following four seasons. Coach Stupeinski won the Region 19 Championship in 2026 and finished with a 35-15-1 record. He was a three-time Region 19 Coach of the Year and compiled a 125-81-1 record in his four seasons at Mercer. In addition to winning the Region 19 Championship in 2026, Coach Stupienski also guided MCCC to the Region 19 title in 2024. He led Mercer to a top 20 ranking in the 2026  NJCAA National Poll.

 

Athletic Director Eric Grundman had the following to say about Coach Stupienski “He is a man who has led our storied program with honor and integrity. As our head coach, he has continued to uphold the long-standing tradition of excellence that our baseball program has experienced over the years.  Coach Stupienski recruited numerous high level student athletes to MCCC who achieved great success both on the field of play and in the classroom. He as kept Mercer baseball competitive on the national stage and helped our program win two Region 19 titles in the past three years. I want to thank Coach Stupienski for all he has done for our student athletes and for our Mercer’s baseball program."
